ANNA MALIA RUDDY AWARD

Pennsylvania Anna Malia Ruddy Award

The Anna Malia Ruddy award is presented by the LAOH PA State board at the biennial state convention.  Anna Malia Ruddy, a Pennsylvanian, was the first National LAOH president.

This prestigious honor is bestowed on one woman who exemplifies the true Hibernian spirit.  Her outstanding accomplishments and achievements within the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians as well as to her community are recognized.

Applications are sent to all County and Division LAOH Presidents in January of the state convention year (odd numbered years), along with the candidate qualification form.  Responses are due by mid-March of the same year.  Nominees are voted on by the State Board with the award presented at the State convention.  At this time, current state board members and appointees are not eligible for consideration.
