Pennsylvania Anna Malia Ruddy Award The Anna Malia Ruddy award is presented by the LAOH PA State board at the biennial state convention. Anna Malia Ruddy, a Pennsylvanian, was the first National LAOH president. This prestigious honor is bestowed on one woman who exemplifies the true Hibernian spirit. Her outstanding accomplishments and achievements within the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians as well as to her community are recognized. Applications
are sent to all County and Division LAOH Presidents in January of the state
convention year (odd numbered years), along with the candidate qualification
form. Responses are due by
mid-March of the same year. Nominees
are voted on by the State Board with the award presented at the State
convention. At this time, current
state board members and appointees are not eligible for consideration. Previous recipients:
